micard_video

Over the last month, I have been working on a Flash video for miCARD, a company that sells medical information cards for use in case of an accident. It’s a very interesting concept, and it’s not a bad deal either at under $30 a year. Anyway, enough sales pitch. We began the video with a simulated car accident, followed by an explanation of miCARD’s features. The highlight of the video, though, is undoubtedly the fictional “Bill” who, out for a walk with his dog, becomes unconscious and needs swift medical attention. We had great fun illustrating and animating the man and his cute French Bulldog, creating them in such a way that we’d feel some sort of connection. Here’s a still:

A logo is for inspiring trust, recognition and admiration for a company or product and it is our job as designers to create a logo that will do its job.

One must know what a logo is before continuing.
